Autodesk has named Diana Colella executive vice president of its architecture, engineering and construction business, a leadership change that places a longtime company executive over its largest industry unit. The Oct. 6 announcement says Colella will lead the next phase of Autodesk Forma, its cloud platform for architecture, engineering and construction, while continuing to evolve desktop products such as Revit and Civil 3D and connect them more closely to Forma workflows. Colella has held roles across finance, strategy, sales, operations and product management, and most recently led Autodesk’s Media & Entertainment business and Flow platform strategy. The transition follows Amy Bunszel’s planned retirement; Autodesk said Bunszel would stay through Nov. 2 to support it. The appointment signals where the company is placing leadership attention, not a change already delivered to customers.
