The Federal Reserve released its 2025 Survey of Consumer Finances on Oct. 9, a triennial snapshot of U.S. family income, assets, debt and banking. From 2022 to 2025, real median family income rose 7 percent to $82,200 and median net worth rose 2 percent to $215,900. At the same time, the share of families whose debt payments exceeded 40 percent of income increased from 6.5 to 8.6 percent, the highest level since the 2013 survey. These are national household measures, not a Latino-only estimate. The full public dataset and methodology are available from the Fed, allowing researchers to examine differences among families without treating averages as individual financial advice.
